What we collect
Fathom does not require accounts and does not collect personal information from readers in the ordinary course of browsing. Our web server and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) process technical data such as IP addresses and browser characteristics to serve pages securely and defend against abuse; this data is handled per Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
Cookies
Fathom sets only the cookies required for the site to function. We do not run advertising trackers.
Embedded content
Articles may embed content from other websites (for example, charts or social media posts). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the originating website, which may collect data about you according to its own policies.
If you email us, we retain the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your consent.
